“So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9
Pastor John Writes:
The month of June brings the beginning of summer, with its warm days, blooming gardens, and signs of new life. This season is also a reminder of God’s constant work in creation — and in our lives. The words of Galatians 6:9 reflect the fact that this is a time of patient growth, faithful labor, and hopeful anticipation.
Paul’s words are an encouragement to believers: Do not grow weary in doing good. Why? Because there is a promise — a harvest is coming.
June often marks a time when routines shift, schools close, vacations begin, the days are longer, and our daily schedules change. It can be tempting to slow down in our spiritual lives as well. But this scripture reminds us that God sees our quiet acts of kindness, our daily faithfulness, and the seeds of love we sow in our families, communities, and congregation.
If you’re needing encouragement in your life, take heart: God is not finished. The harvest may not be today, but it will come — in God’s time. God calls us to keep showing up. Consistent faith makes a difference, whether it’s in worship, prayer, or service. May this month be more than a change of season, let it be a reminder that your faithfulness is never wasted. We know that God is always working, even when we can’t yet see the results. Keep planting. Keep praying. Keep going. God is growing something beautiful, always.
Grace and peace to you all,
The Rev. John G. Rights
